Every ingredient in Mentex is selected not just for what it is, but for the form it comes in. We use advanced, bioavailable versions of key nutrients including activated B vitamins, high-potency plant extracts with standardised active compounds, and well-researched actives in their most bioavailable forms. Cheaper alternatives might look the same on a label but deliver a fraction of the benefit.

Mentex uses HPMC (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose) capsules, a plant-derived alternative to standard gelatine capsules. HPMC capsules are 100% vegan, free from preservatives and additives, and provide excellent stability across a range of temperatures and humidity levels. They offer a superior moisture barrier compared to gelatine, helping to preserve the potency and shelf life of the ingredients inside.

Every Mentex formula is produced in a facility that follows Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards. Each batch is made under strict quality, safety and consistency controls, from raw ingredient intake through to finished-product release.

WHY METHYLATED B VITAMINS?

Most B vitamin supplements use the cheapest, most common forms. These synthetic forms must first be converted by the body before they can be used, a process that many people cannot complete efficiently. Mentex uses the three most bioavailable, biologically active forms available, so nothing is wasted.

Vitamin B6 as Pyridoxal-5-Phosphate (P5P)

Standard supplements use pyridoxine HCl, a synthetic form that requires liver conversion before the body can use it. P5P is the fully activated form of B6, ready to work immediately upon ingestion. It requires no conversion, bypasses liver processing entirely, and is better tolerated for long-term daily use.

Vitamin B9 as 5-MTHF (Methylfolate)

Ordinary folic acid is a synthetic compound that must be converted to its active form, 5-MTHF, by the MTHFR enzyme. Up to 40% of the population carry a genetic variant that impairs this conversion, meaning standard folic acid supplements may deliver little benefit. Mentex uses 5-MTHF directly, the form the body actually uses, for reliable folate activity regardless of genetics.

Vitamin B12 as Methylcobalamin

Cyanocobalamin, the most widely used B12 form, is synthetic and requires conversion before the body can utilise it. Methylcobalamin is the naturally occurring, bioactive form of B12, retained in the body for longer and used directly in neurological function, methylation, and cognitive support.
